Dr Musheerul Hassan is a biologist with a wide range of research interests like, ethno-biology, bioprospecting of natural products (antimicrobial, antioxidant), and bio-cultural anthropology. He is currently exploring the western Himalayas especially the Jammu and Kashmir (Union Territory to Government of India) with an ultimate aim of conservation, sustainable usage and preservation of eroding traditional knowledge (ethno-medicine, traditional food) due to rapid urbanization.
