Cyathea sledgei Ranil, Pushpakumara & Fras.-Jenk.: A new endemic species was described from Sri Lanka in 2010 and published in Fern Gazette 18(7):318-325.

Cyathea srilankensis Ranil: this new endemic species was described from Sri Lanka in 2010 and published in American Fern Journal 100(1):39-44.

Elatostema rigidiusculum (Thwaites ex Hooker) Ranil & Nadeeka: This endemic taxon was upgraded to the species rank in 2019 and published in Phytotaxa 404 (2): 085– 090.

Christella × fraser-jenkinsii Ranil: this endemic new natural hybrid was described in 2021 and published in Phytotaxa 511(2):183-186.
